Wayne White

Let's talk about Wayne White. I blogged about this lil art throb awhile ago after finding his website, but I just can't quit him.  His art is just so charmingly ironic, and I know I sound like a superdoucher for saying that, but just look, guys. Just look. At first, I thought he did the entire paintings, but when I was looking for paintings, I found a blog post on him -- apparently, I'm doing nothing new and exciting right now -- and it said, "He takes cheap, mass-produced lithographs which he finds in secondhand thrift stores or flea markets and paint phrases or words on them in a glossy, 3-D style." But that also rocks.

 

I think a lot of the words he chooses are projections about the type of art he is embellishing. Plus, he and my dad share a shocking amount of physical similarities.
